Pivot With Purpose Season 6 Episode 22 Tiffany Cohen Full Transcript

Meghan Houle (00:01.368)

Tiffany, welcome to the Pivot With Purpose podcast. Thank you so much for being here.

Tiffany (00:04.773)

my gosh. Thank you so much, Megan. I'm so excited to be here.

Meghan Houle (00:09.992)

Me too. Well, to catch you in the here and now as I so intro you in, but I certainly love to give my guests to do their justice of sharing all that is going on in their world. Tell us a little bit about what's going on in your world now. What is your business? Talk to us a little bit about that before we get into your juicy pivots and life lessons and learnings.

Tiffany (00:32.182)

Yeah. So I own Spirit and Soul Studio in Babylon, New York, which is right on, it's on Long Island. And I really, I love what we do here and I'm so proud of it. We help people to really transform their lives through healing, manifesting and intentional living. So we do this in many different ways, especially the healing part. We do Reiki, which I'm sure many people have heard of.

I'm also a spinal energetics practitioner. So spinal energetics is really, it's working with the energy of the nervous system. So the energy of the spine and releasing any bound tension patterns within the body. And when we start to work with these healing energies, it really makes a huge, huge difference on how the person feels, what they've been able to let go of, even if they can't place words to it. So we've seen a lot, a lot of transformations.

through the work that we're doing here at Spirit and Soul. We do things virtually and in person, and we're bringing like a modern, basically what we're doing is we're weaving the modern, like the ancient practices and working with energies into the modern life.

Meghan Houle (01:45.656)

Yeah, well, and I so align with energy healing is I've been, you know, in partnership with an individual I met in one of my business masterminds who has done some like energy healing sessions on me. And I'm telling you in a very short time that I've been, you know, kind of working very much just on like one-offs Tiffany, know, of like her like, need to have a session. I'm like, okay. You know, I will tell you, I had like a pretty big shift a couple of weeks ago.

when I had popped into a session and was in a very chaotic, energetic space. honestly, since that session and whatever she pulled out and we were talking through, I really feel like a changed person. And I know it takes time, right? The energy healing is not going to come overnight where you're just going to poof and it's going to be amazing and you're on this roller coaster. But I feel like what you do is so needed.

And I'm sure you can tell me, you know, this resounding theme of 2024 has been a bit of like a heavy year for a lot of people too, that when you can work something out in a way that really like opens, just like, you know, dealing with like inner child work or inner shadows and like releasing and then just like feeling freer and lighter, like you said, in different ways, so you can't even like put into words.

is probably pretty cool. Have you seen some incredible transformations with some of the people you've been working with for a bit or has 2024 like brought you like a whole new batch of like energy needing healing? I can imagine. Yes. Yeah.

Tiffany (03:24.423)

Yeah. Yeah. You know what? I've seen the most incredible transformations, honestly, with people when they start to realize. I think what the thing is, is we don't realize what we carry. Maybe we do. Maybe some of the things we do, but we don't realize how they affect us and how they have us showing up differently in our everyday, how they have us because that's our new normal.

what those shadows do. for those that don't know what a shadow is, shadow is like the parts of yourself that there may be some like, you shove them down. You don't want to see them. So they may bring some shame or guilt or fear. They may bring up feelings of anger. And a lot of times we don't want to feel those lower vibration feelings. So we just shove them down and stuff them down. What happens though is we can only do that for so long before they either number one erupts on us, which I'm sure you've had.

I've erupted before too. mean, these are things that we just bury down, but also we become numb in life and we just go through the motions and we go through life on like this hamster wheel of just get up in the morning and do the things because we don't want to feel. But we want to feel the good things, right? We want to feel happiness and joy and love and all those things. But when you don't feel your shadows and like those lower vibration emotions, it actually puts a cap on the higher vibration ones.

put a cap on what is possible for you because you just, you're not allowing yourself to feel fully all the things. And we're just afraid of those lower vibration emotions. So when we can start to bring light, yeah. So like when we start bringing light to the shadows, right? Like just allowing them to be seen, sometimes that's all that they need. Like sometimes it's all that they need is just to be witnessed. And then once you witness it, you let it go.

Meghan Houle (04:59.94)

you

Meghan Houle (05:03.886)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (05:17.864)

I had, we just had, we have a retreat once a year. We're actually going to start, think, doing them twice a year, but we have a retreat once a year at Spirit and Soul. And I had this amazing woman and she came in and she had lost her sister four years ago. And ever since then, she's been having panic attacks every single night, every night panic attacks. And for four years, like, can you imagine that you can't get sleep every night because you are waking up in a sheer panic? And

Meghan Houle (05:37.572)

Hmm.

Meghan Houle (05:42.018)

No.

Meghan Houle (05:46.084)

Ugh.

Tiffany (05:47.304)

She came there, she came to the retreat with the intention of working through it. And through the weekend, we really worked through so much stuff. She was, a, we do a lot of spinal energetics, a lot of reiki, a lot of talk, like talking it through. And she comes down the stairs on Sunday morning crying. And she goes, I just want to tell you, I actually slept through the night for the first time with no panic attacks. And that for me.

Meghan Houle (06:11.854)

Wow.

Tiffany (06:14.934)

was like, I'm getting chills just thinking about it because that for me was one of like the biggest, like this is why I do what I do, you know, to help people transform in that way. So yeah, there's a lot.

Meghan Houle (06:22.348)

Yeah, wow. Yeah, such beautiful work. No, it's such beautiful work. Well, let's get into the juicy pivot. So is what you're doing today what you always thought you'd be doing early on? Like early on Tiffany, what was she up to?

Tiffany (06:29.047)

Yeah.

Tiffany (06:38.17)

No. All right. So no, I would say, so I started doing like tarot readings and I was a reiki practitioner when I was like 19 years old. I started doing tarot when I was 13. I was given my first deck and I didn't know what that like, I never thought I'd be doing anything with it, anything like that. I actually went into corporate America after I graduated college and that's where I stayed for 20 years. And I worked my way up from the

from the bottom to the top. I was running in one of the biggest departments within a huge bank and working with billions of dollars and that's what I did. But I also did it with a ton of stress as most environments are when it comes to corporate America. There was a lot of toxicity, whether the people were great, but there was a lot of toxicity with it, with any type of working with that type of dollar amount.

Meghan Houle (07:16.75)

Okay.

Tiffany (07:36.546)

That's what happens, right? And I was working with that every day. And there was a point where I was leaving crying, Megan, every day. I had gotten like a really big promotion that I did not ask for, I didn't want. And I didn't feel ready for it. And at the end of the day, just, what it came down to was that it graded against what, it graded against like my sole purpose. And I think it just was, at the end of the day was like,

Meghan Houle (07:45.38)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (08:04.686)

like you're not supposed to be doing this. Like now you've come too far now. And I remember just walking to my car every day in tears, crying hysterically the whole way home and then getting home and having to be a mom and having to be a wife. Like I had an infant and a toddler and I was like, I don't know. And the grand pivot really came when I had an altercation with my boss.

and I had worked the entire weekend. I took time away from my family and I was working like crazy and he walks into, actually I should say he barged himself into my office and he threw a report that I had created onto my desk and the papers went flying and he's screaming at me that I have to get my, can I curse on here? He's got, I got him. He's like, you

Meghan Houle (08:55.075)

Hmm.

Meghan Houle (08:58.774)

Yeah, just let it out, girl. Release.

Tiffany (09:02.028)

Yeah, you have to get your shit together. He's like, you better get your shit together. And he threw the papers all over my desk and I had no idea what he was talking about. And he's going on and on that he was in the board meeting and he read something to them and it was wrong. And I'm like looking down at the papers and I'm like, I don't know what you're talking about. And then I realized that he read it wrong. He read the whole thing wrong.

Meghan Houle (09:06.397)

Mmm.

Meghan Houle (09:26.692)

He read it wrong. Yeah.

Tiffany (09:28.726)

It was his mistake. And I ran after him because he stormed off and he screamed at me in front of my whole staff. And I ran after him and I'm like, you read it wrong. And I yelled out what it was. And I know he heard me. And then the door shuts to the executive area. And I just walked back to my office and I shut the door and, Megan, the walls were closing in on me. I started to have like,

Meghan Houle (09:55.221)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (09:57.866)

an anxiety attack, a panic attack. I'm like crying. I'm like sitting on the floor. I just couldn't wrap my mind around what happened. I'm asking myself, like, how the hell did I get here? Like, I finally, in that moment, woke up. But the thing is that, you know, spiritual awakenings, they actually can mask themselves as like a panic attack.

Meghan Houle (10:19.765)

and

Tiffany (10:21.198)

which I didn't know was happening at the time. And in that moment, I just said, okay, I'm getting out of here. Like I'm changing my life. And I had like, I remembered chills running down my body that I was taking my life back. And I said, I didn't know how I was going to do it, what I was going to do, but I was getting out of there. And in the end, I just heard, I'm like, okay, what am I good at? Right? I started to like go into logic mode. I'm like, what am I good at? Okay. I'm a really great cook.

Okay, I can be, you know, I can really write. I can write really well. All right, I'm going to be, I'm going to start a food blog." And that started my entrepreneurial journey. So that night I bought a domain, I started a food blog, and I made it my life's mission to get out of there. And that was the best thing that I ever did for myself. And I, yeah, and then I went down this entrepreneurial journey that obviously I'm not doing food blogging anymore, but I

Meghan Houle (10:57.668)

Yeah, Wow.

Meghan Houle (11:07.64)

Yeah.

Tiffany (11:15.774)

It became a spiritual journey for me. And I went back to who I was as a kid and I was always open and I was always into that magical part of myself and tapping into that energy. And I started to just meditate on my own. Like that was it. So was like food blogging and starting this business. I was getting up, you know, what became like 3 a.m. every day and then working the full time and being the mom and then to the toddler and the infant and all the things. And I was

Meghan Houle (11:18.574)

Yeah.

Tiffany (11:44.408)

kept making sure that I meditated every day and that made me calm. If it just did that, it made me calm, it made me focused, and it gave me answers to the questions I was asking of how am going to do this? What am I doing here? Through that, I realized that it was never about the food blogging. The food blogging was a stepping stone. I would always say that. My dad in particular would always be like, what are you like?

Meghan Houle (11:50.211)

Mm-hmm.

Meghan Houle (11:58.521)

Yeah.

Tiffany (12:10.776)

What are you going to do with this? Are you going to food blog your whole life?" I'm like, no, but I feel like it's a stepping stone to something else. And that's exactly what it was. It's exactly what it was. And through that, started coaching spiritual, actually I started business coaching because I was growing my business. I was working with bigger brands like Driscolls and, know, Sunkist and things like that and taking photos for them. And then it just started to become like a spiritual business coaching. And then it just became...

Meghan Houle (12:16.664)

Yeah. Yeah.

Tiffany (12:39.552)

spirit, right? Like walking through all of that. And I do the business coaching still. And now here we are, like years later, it took me a few years to leave, but it was the best experience. Like I'm so grateful, Megan, for that moment. I'm so grateful that my boss like walked in and like threw those papers on my desk. I'm so grateful for it all because without that pivotal moment, I would not be here. Right? So like taking that

Meghan Houle (12:53.432)

Mm-hmm.

Meghan Houle (12:59.673)

Yeah.

Meghan Houle (13:07.234)

Yeah, and to have the courage to, yeah, to do it. Yeah.

Tiffany (13:11.894)

Yeah, yeah, having the courage and that that took a lot, you know, it did. But here we are.

Meghan Houle (13:17.432)

Yeah. Here you are. Well, good for you in envisioning this journey that you were on coming also from a corporate America background working in luxury fashion, but definitely having leaders at times that were not leading from the right place. You think about Tiffany, and you probably see this now because you're on this spiritual side and maybe you saw it then, but with my journey I've been on in spirit and coaching, I almost look through the other person. I'm like, gosh,

What are you sitting with that's warranting a reaction that you feel that's necessary to put that energy on me? Not to say when someone freaks out, we should be like, I wonder what they're going through. when you kind of in perspective take a step back and you're like, wow, they must be dealing with a lot of shit. But imagine what they need to work through spiritually. God bless to treat people like that.

Tiffany (14:06.957)

Yeah

Meghan Houle (14:15.421)

God, good for you. Yeah. Yeah.

Tiffany (14:16.046)

Yeah, I know. I do think that there is like magic though in that when we can really lift our viewpoint from the like egoic 3D and like looking at it as somebody's yelling at me and somebody's, know, offending me and kind of like looking at it from this bird's eye view and what I call is like, it's like the soul perspective. It's seeing with the eyes of the soul and actually exactly what you said, Megan, saying, okay,

what are they going through that they are acting like this, right? Like, where is this coming from? And you can usually tell, and it never makes it okay, right? Like it doesn't make it okay if somebody hurts your feelings or says something to you, but for you, you don't have to accept it. You don't have to like cling to it. And I think that's what we do a lot of times is like we cling to.

anytime somebody hurts us, anytime that somebody, you know, disrespects us and we make it a part of who we are and we stay in that lower vibration frequency of it. But when we can actually like meet it head on and say, okay, this is nothing to do with me and everything to do with the other person. And I don't accept that. Then you move differently through situations.

Meghan Houle (15:32.268)

Mm-hmm. Yeah, I would say that's one of the biggest things I've learned this year. you know, it takes time, everyone, like what Tiffany did for your massive pivot, which we can get into, to accepting of others' energies and releasing that, you know, and instead of absorbing it. But it's pretty damn magical, you know, when you can do that and like live a bit freer and just breathing like, yeah, it's got nothing to do with me. So within that, like what finally inspired you to

Tiffany (15:51.288)

Yeah.

Meghan Houle (16:00.708)

Create Spirit and Soul Studio, and how does your business serve as a platform for individuals seeking personal and spiritual growth, as I know you're kind of managing, like you said, business, but then definitely still having these amazing spiritual retreats and working one-on-one. So yeah, talk to us about what your inspiration is and how really it's inspiring those that you work with.

Tiffany (16:23.65)

Yeah, so yeah, during COVID is really when I, you I always say, like, I know everybody had their different experience with COVID, but for me, like, COVID was working for me. And I utilized that time to build the business in a way that it was harder to do when I was always in the office. So now being home, I gained back so much of my time. And that really allowed me to build the business in a bigger way.

Meghan Houle (16:35.374)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (16:51.926)

And I started to do spiritual classes because what was happening was we were feeling alone. There were people that weren't sitting at home with their family and didn't have somebody to hang out with when we were stuck inside. So what I started to do was really do these classes so that people can come together. And of course, as businesses do, it started out small and it started out to just be like friends and family. And then it started to grow and then it started to grow.

And at some point, I started Spirit and Soul virtually only. And that's how we began as a virtual platform doing classes. I became friends with other people that were teaching manifesting and were great at it. You one of our teachers now, Gabby, she's amazing. And she was with us from like day one and I got my sisters on board. I'm like, okay, you're going to be doing social media, you're going to be doing this. And it all just came together. They're like, yeah, let's do it, you know. And it just continued to grow and grow. And then

I was still in corporate and one day I was in the shower and I'm like, just had this like, don't you get like your best ideas in the shower? Are you like me with that?

Meghan Houle (17:59.684)

100 % or 3 a.m. So in the shower when I have no pens and I'm like I'm gonna write this blog and then I'm like Where's my voice notes or like at 3 a.m. Where I'm just like why now Jesus like truly? Yes, I'm very aligned with you

Tiffany (18:14.094)

Yeah. Yeah. So I know I was in the shower and I will never forget, I was like washing my hair and I'm like, well, why not now? Why not open up? Because I had always wanted and what I was calling it at the time was a women's empowerment center. So I'm like, this was something that's been on my manifestation list for years. And I just said to myself, I'm like, why not now? Why not?

right this moment. Like, what does it matter if I'm still working? If I never take the leap, then I'm never going to do it. Like, I'm always not going to feel ready. So I called my dad, who's a real estate agent, and I said, hey, can you do me a favor? Because I loved Babylon. I grew up here. So I'm like, can you just tell me any retail that's on Main Street in Babylon and let me know if there's any retail spaces available? And he's like, are you for real? I'm like, yes, I am.

So he's like, all right. And that day, it's an interesting story. Do you want to hear the story, Megan? How we found this space. It's a pretty magical manifesting story. So my dad had found us a place to go. Yeah. So I went during my lunch hour when I was still working from home in corporate and we went to go see this space. And I said on the way, I'm like, okay, spirit, if this is for me,

Meghan Houle (19:17.218)

Yeah, yes, yes.

Meghan Houle (19:23.927)

I love this.

Meghan Houle (19:30.852)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (19:37.034)

If this is the space I want you to or if I said if I'm where I'm supposed to be, then I want to see the flickering light. So I walked in and this building was like an old Victorian home it looked like and there was a light flickering and I was like, my God, I'm where I'm supposed to be. But I'm looking around at the surroundings and I'm like, but it doesn't feel like it. It doesn't feel.

Meghan Houle (19:44.366)

Hmmmm

Meghan Houle (20:00.804)

Wow.

Tiffany (20:03.678)

like this is the place for me. And I just walked out of there and I'm like, it's just so weird. It's definitely not the space, but it's just so weird because I asked for a sign and I got it. And then as we started to drive home, I look over and I see that there is a brand new building, brand spanking new, like absolutely gorgeous, not one tenant in it yet. And I look and it says for rent and it was not on like real estate listings.

And I said, I'm like, grab the number, like pull over. And we got the number and we called and, you know, and listen, we got the sign, right? The sign was the blinking light that it was where I was supposed to be. Well, if I wasn't in that building, I never would have passed to get the phone number, right? So we called and they said that it was already taken.

Meghan Houle (20:48.728)

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Tiffany (20:55.936)

And I was like, okay, but I'm like, no, that is our space. Like I didn't know how much it was. didn't know if it was even, I didn't even look inside, but I'm like, no, that's the space. And I went down there after work that night and I put my hand on the, on the building, on the space. And I said, if you are meant for me, find me. And the next day I got a phone call saying that the other tenant fell through and we were up next. Yeah. And it was ours and it was ours.

Meghan Houle (21:19.786)

my gosh. So cool. Yeah.

Tiffany (21:24.972)

Amazing. It was just amazing how it happened. So yeah, it's a great story. And from there, I mean, we've just built this into this community center. So it has become not just a women's empowerment center, but an empowerment center for people that are on their journey so that they don't feel alone on it. Like the spiritual journey can feel very lonely.

Meghan Houle (21:46.24)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (21:51.118)

and you don't know some of the things that are coming up or what's happening to you, or maybe you're having like these dreams or these visions and you think it's like weird, or you think it's like, my gosh, I can't tell anybody about it, but this is the space to do that because there's no judgment, because we are all going through it we're walking with you through it and we believe you. You know, I think that's the thing. It's like, you may not even believe in yourself yet, but we're gonna hold that belief for you. And that's what we do here. It's magical.

Meghan Houle (22:09.545)

Yeah. Yes.

Meghan Houle (22:17.956)

It is magical. And you know me as we're coming up on 2222 for our recording time. I'm like, please, all I do is see angels all day, every day in signs. Like I am that person. And in a podcast previous, my very good friend, Alexander, who actually owns this salon here in Brookline in Boston, Tiffany, has a very similar story of like finding her space and connecting with her spirit guides as her mom passed away suddenly when she was younger and just like.

seeing all these colors in the butterflies, it's crazy. mean, people literally will be like, you're nuts. Most of my husband's family low-key thinks I'm insane. And I'm like, no, but it works. I promise. But it's so funny when I see my husband seeing what I see and things really coming to fruition or transpiring. He's like,

can you just go to the casino and like manifest me some money? I'm like, bro, don't worry about it. We can't like have millions fall from the sky, but it comes in, it can come in different ways, but it's crazy. I always tell this story, Tiffany, and I know you'll so believe me and I have this book called Signs that I've read and I totally space on the author every time, but it's just about seeing signs, whether it comes in like, like animal form or feathers. Like we all have something that we see and

Tiffany (23:13.389)

Yeah.

Meghan Houle (23:36.868)

I see Angel and Almer's a ton, but like right in the heart of the pandemic when we were doing all of our like hot girl walks, we're like, let's walk eight miles today. Cause like, what else are we doing? I would see all these dead birds.

Tiffany (23:49.826)

Wow.

Meghan Houle (23:50.776)

Yes. And to some people that would be like, nasty dead birds. maybe as you know, birds are a sign of rebirth and going through something, almost like a rebirth of yourself or your soul. And I will never forget. I'm like, is this even real? And my background is still luxury, still fashion. But I pivoted a bit. And really, I'm doing so many different things with my business and recruiting and luxury and fashion.

I remember walking down Newbury Street in Boston and seeing the most beautiful, again, I didn't even think it was real, but the most beautiful colored deceased bird in front of Valentino. And I was like, maybe I'm just not, maybe something bigger is going to happen for me. But I see signs all the time. And gosh, I'm like, can you open here in Boston? Because other than my friends where you can speak openly about it, I think some people just don't talk about it. But I do feel like it is becoming.

There are like a lot more resources and individuals where they're holding space for people that are like you and I that you know very much believe in all of this and I know it to be true and I feel like I'm Call myself a pretty powerful bitch Be careful be careful with Megan. Well, no, I'm just kidding. But I love that. my god. my god I love it and I can even imagine all the people that you're helping and how many cool conversations you have in your in your studio, but

Tiffany (25:05.582)

Thanks

Meghan Houle (25:15.14)

Yeah, let's go into manifestation because I feel like it's such a word, like I said, you know, where people are like, manifesting. It's like, no, it's not like luck. It's not a lottery. You know, it's like teaching yourself how to tap into these abilities and trusting intuitions and, you know, the building blocks and visualization and all of that. So as a master of manifestors, I know you are, you know, how do you teach others to tap into their own abilities?

and trust their intuitions in today's fast-paced world where everyone's like, it has to happen, it has to happen overnight. my gosh, like, please, like, come, like, signs, all of this. But that's not how it works, Stephanie, right? So, yeah.

Tiffany (25:53.186)

No, no, it's not. And I think that we're manifesting and I call it hashtag manifesting because I feel like manifesting gets this like oversimplified view of like, I see it, I want it, you know, I got it type of thing. And it's like, there's more to it. It's easy, but it takes time. It can be easy if you allow it to be. And that's what I, that's how we really teach it. It's that

you should have that. I want you to have this vision, right? So like have a vision of anything that you want in your life. What is that thing? And yes, I want you to put your sights on it and see that thing, see it unfolding or feel it. Like for some people, like they don't know what the thing is. They don't know what's going to get them there, but they feel it. So what is the feeling that's around it? Allow that feeling to really come up. And then from there, you know, continue again with the hashtag manifesting, right? Seeing it, feeling it, and then

totally allowing it to absorb into your body. So like really that's where the visualization comes in. Or if you're not a visual seer, that's fine. Feeling it, like hearing the sounds around you as you're letting it come to fruition and then letting it go, right? And that's sometimes the easier said than done part is we really can't attach to it because we might think that we want something and that it's going to be amazing for us and we can see ourselves with it. But like I always say that the universe knows better.

So let the universe then guide it. It's this or something better. What I think that the, yeah. And so we need to let the universe guide the way, but you also now have to take aligned action towards it. Like we're not just sitting on our couch then waiting for the thing to like plop into our lap. Like you have to then take the aligned action towards it. And I truly feel that it cannot come with a hustle energy. It has to come with a flow, right? So like,

Meghan Houle (27:24.466)

I love that. Yes.

Meghan Houle (27:43.798)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (27:46.976)

allowing yourself to be guided. How do you be guided? Well, I'm a meditation pusher, Megan. Like I'm going to say, meditate, meditate, meditate. I think that everybody should be meditating every single day, even if it's for five minutes, even if that's all that you have. Like we have an app at Spirit and Soul that we put meditations on. We have three minute meditations on there, like shower meditations. Like you got up late, you know, and you're in the shower and you want to meditate. That's how we're doing it, right?

Meghan Houle (27:52.867)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (28:15.042)

That is just you tapping in. And when you manifest, you're sitting with those things, you can actually ask the questions of like, is my next right move? Right? And then trust what you receive. What I ask myself that, I ask the universe that all the time. What is my next right move? And then allow myself to be guided. Yeah. And then as you're taking this action, then this is the secret sauce is the healing aspect.

Meghan Houle (28:33.602)

Hmm. I love that. Yeah.

Tiffany (28:43.608)

Like I don't think that we can manifest unless it's something smaller, right? I don't think that we can manifest things without the healing aspect of it. I really don't. So if you want to own your own business and you're in corporate right now and you're like, I don't know how I'm going to get there. I don't know what I'm going to be doing. Well, why don't you think you're going to get there? Why do you think you don't belong in the room?

What start to feel into that rather than continuing to bury it down because those things are your anchor to the manifestation. That's keeping you in contraction. An incredible book is Bending Reality by Victoria Song. Amazing, amazing, amazing book. And in it, she talks about contraction and expansion energy. And that contraction energy, and this is what I'm talking about with the healing, right?

Meghan Houle (29:14.788)

Yeah.

Tiffany (29:33.526)

You can manifest from contraction, but it's never going to feel good and it's never going to feel easy. And that's all of your shadow. And that's all of the things that keep you playing small. So when you can start to work through all of those things, when you can start to say, okay, why don't I feel worthy? Okay. Well, you know, why can't I share my big dreams? Right? Like you start to then go through it. This was a thing for me. I had a thing when we were, you know, starting, when I was like really getting into starting Spirit and Soul.

I'm like, why? I couldn't allow myself to tap fully into my own magic, and I couldn't allow myself to even speak about the empowerment center. I couldn't speak those things into existence. I couldn't speak about it. And I'm like, why can't I? And finally, what hit me was when I was younger, we were in like, and this is how crazy it is, it was like fifth grade, but we were in a talent show. And I had this dream.

of that we were doing like Cirque du Soleil style stuff. Like I saw it in my mind. I saw us doing these flips and doing all these things. Like I could see it and the other kids like couldn't and they're like, there's no way we can do that. There's no way, there's no way. And I realized, I think what happened was I made a truth about myself in that moment that my dreams are too big for others to understand.

Meghan Houle (30:53.924)

Hmm.

Tiffany (30:54.226)

And that I did not know was holding me back. And once I realized that and really just let that be seen, you know, and like let myself witness it. Once I let that go, that was it. Like, I don't, I mean, I have to revisit it every now and then, but it's very rare. And I see it when it comes up now. I'm like, why do I, why do I not want to share this part of the dream? Does this feel too big? Right. And like, now I start to notice it. And then

Meghan Houle (30:59.012)

and

Meghan Houle (31:19.184)

Interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Tiffany (31:21.442)

I let it go and now here we are, right? Like that had to be like, like I did, I found the space shortly after that.

Meghan Houle (31:30.018)

Yep. Yep. no, I love this so much and I agree with you. Even for how far I've come over the past five years, I knew that I had to start off healing myself and the things I was dealing with before I could step into that bigger version of myself. I think, yeah, right, sometimes we're coming at it from a wrong angle and it's never going to hit because you're so out of alignment.

For those who are struggling to connect with their inner selves or skeptical of these like spiritual practices, like what advice do you have for someone starting their healing journey that you think could really help maybe early on or a first step? Yeah.

Tiffany (32:09.548)

Yeah. I think that there's a couple of things that I think a healthy dose of skepticism is amazing. I think that that's okay because we need to allow ourselves to unfold and that skepticism is coming from somewhere. Right? So what is it, you know, that could be from many different places that it comes from, but allow yourself to just sit with you. Right? Like, and if that's a scary thing to do, then don't do it by yourself. Right? Like then go to like,

Listen to a guided meditation. Just try something. Just have an open mind, right? If you can allow yourself to do that, if your mind is so closed off, you're going to be closing yourself off not just to your spiritual journey, but to probably like everything in life, honestly. That's a control factor, right? And nothing really good comes of control. I'm just going to say it. Nothing good comes of control. Good and all the things that you want in your life come from flow.

So if you can allow yourself to open up your mind just a little bit and just see what happens, like see what comes up for you. You may not be convinced day one and that's okay, right? But like maybe you got a little piece out of it. Like maybe you just felt a little bit different and just notice that. And if that made you feel better, amazing, amazing. And then just unfold from there. And when it comes to manifesting,

Give the universe a little test. Test the universe. Say, I want to manifest somebody bringing me a coffee today. Or I want to manifest a free coffee and see how it manifests for you. You'd be surprised if somebody walks in and be like, I brought you a coffee today. Or you got Starbucks and sends you a free coffee on your app.

Meghan Houle (33:58.968)

Right? Yeah, like drops. You're like, yes. Yeah.

Tiffany (34:03.424)

see what happens, but test the universe. And that's how you can start to test your magic a little bit as well. It's fun.

Meghan Houle (34:11.716)

Well, maybe like for, I guess this might be a bit selfish of me, but for someone, live coaching Tiffany, putting you on the spot. No, for someone too that will manifest, manifest, but then also get nervous of like, God, what if I do something wrong or what if I mess up the process of the words and it's not gonna come to me? I do feel like there's

Tiffany (34:20.888)

Yeah, go ahead.

Meghan Houle (34:37.826)

like manifestation scarcity, if that is even a thing. Maybe I'm making it up where you feel like, okay, I'm believing it's coming in, it's coming in, but like, is it coming in the right way or God, it didn't come in, did I do something wrong? What are your thoughts for individuals that maybe are really good at it or feel aligned? But then there's days where we doubt everything or anything, right? Where we feel like it's like, God, are we going to do something that's going to knock off what we're asking for?

I don't know. What are your thoughts there?

Tiffany (35:07.532)

Yeah. yeah, absolutely. You know what, Megan? Actually somebody, just coached somebody through this yesterday. This is very, very common. I think it's, I think, yeah, it is. And I think that what happens with manifesting is we, what's happening is we're attaching to the thing that we want too much. And it's like, why isn't it here?

Meghan Houle (35:14.762)

perfect. You're welcome. Right on time.

Tiffany (35:34.542)

Where is it? Am I doing it wrong? I don't think that there's any wrong way to manifest. I really don't. I think that there's ways you can make it better, more enhanced using crystals, creating grids, certain things that you can do to enhance the energy. But I don't think that there's any way to do it wrong. Where you could come into, I guess, bit of like a, I know maybe this is the right word, but like time crunch or whatever with it is how are you getting in your own way of it?

Like, how are you blocking it? And I think that what we tend to do, because basically here's how you know that you're blocking your manifestation. You don't have it yet. Right? you're not by it because like attracts like, so you're not calling in the thing that you don't have the thing. You know that you're blocking it in a way or that you have something to heal through when you don't have it. Okay. So that's like key number one.

Meghan Houle (36:12.91)

Right.

Tiffany (36:29.974)

But then asking yourself not what you need to do to get the manifestation, but going inward and saying, all right, well, who do I need to become in order to receive this thing? Who is that person that has that thing? And I'm sure, Megan, if you think about what you want, if you have a specific goal in mind, let's say, let's use a money goal. If you have a specific money goal that you want from your business and

Meghan Houle (36:47.275)

Mmm.

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (36:58.562)

You're like, all right, I want X amount and I'm only making Y, right? So, well, who do you need to become to hold that frequency of that money? Right? Like you can want $10 million, but can you actually hold the energy of $10 million? Right? It's very different from holding from the energy of hundred thousand dollars. Right? So Ken, are you the person that can hold that? And maybe you need to work through money wounding.

Maybe you don't trust yourself with money. Right? So that's where these things come in where we're like, okay, well, am I that person yet? No, I can envision her. I can see her. And you know what? She's money savvy. And you know what she has? She has a financial planner. And you know what she has? She has an accountant and she has help. Right? And then you could start to see like, wait a second. Well, I don't have those things now. Why? Well, I don't trust other people with my money. Why?

Right? And now you start to ask yourself these questions of why you think you're not worthy enough to have a team, why you don't think you're worthy enough to hold $10 million, and you can start to let some of those things go so that you can actually be the person that holds $10 million. Right? Then all of a sudden you're matching up with that person. So you have to start showing up as her now.

Meghan Houle (38:13.902)

Yeah.

Meghan Houle (38:21.698)

Yeah. Yeah. like to its core, it's A, all about healing. You know, there's all the parts that it's not clicking because of the healing we need to do and then allowing us to like see that person we need to be in order for those things to happen and then letting it go. So that's amazing. Thank you. And this is like million dollar advice that you're giving. So I hope everyone is appreciating this podcast and listening to it over and over.

Tiffany (38:38.22)

Yeah. Yeah.

Tiffany (38:47.693)

Hehehe!

Meghan Houle (38:48.024)

But with that, you have a podcast, let's get into that, where I know on your podcast, which is the Spirit and Soul podcast, you interview many influential figures where you guys discuss energy work and holistic living and also have been featured on platforms, on the news, and spreading your messages to a wider audience in all different ways. So how do you feel like your practices in discussing energy work and holistic living

help your audience find clarity and purpose and how do you feel like the media exposure also has really helped spread your mission as well? Yeah.

Tiffany (39:25.454)

Yeah, I think that, you know, especially like spirituality and manifesting in particular has become such like, so like everybody wants to try it, you know, like, so I think it's become this, this thing. So when they see someone doing it, or when they see like, they hear the stories of it, I think it becomes real, right? And I, that's why I like to share my stories about the things that I've manifested and where I came from and how I pivoted and, and all of the different things so that you can see like,

Meghan Houle (39:36.292)

Yeah?

Tiffany (39:54.626)

There is no difference between me and you, right? And all I did was I actually chose, like I made a decision to not be the same anymore. And I think that's what it starts to come down to. And it's just that we are in a world where we feel like we don't have control over our lives. Like we are told that this is what you're supposed to do. You're supposed to go to college. You're supposed to get married. You're supposed to have children and you're supposed to

work in a job. And guess what? You're really supposed to probably have a job that you don't love because that's what we're told and that's what we see. We see that people just say like, it's a job, right? And they're not getting the fulfillment that they actually, that you actually could be getting, right? Because you're not listening and you're just on this hamster wheel journey. And I think that when you see somebody that actually chooses differently, it's a reminder that you have a choice, that you have free will.

And think the clarity comes from just that moment, that it's the choice to take your life back and to start to now go forward with intention, with the fact of like, I'm going to live my life on purpose from now on. Right. And that's what truly we start to teach people is life. We get one life in this body at this time.

Meghan Houle (41:00.643)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (41:19.404)

Why are we wasting it doing things that we don't like, spending our time with people that don't light us up and doing things that don't make us feel good? So once you start to look at life differently as a gift, because we don't look at it as a gift, and that's the saddest part. That's like the thing that I want to scream from the rooftops, like life is a gift. And you are meant to live it to the highest and best

version of you and bring light into this world and we all can do that. We're all actually meant to do that. And when we don't live into our purpose, I think we have multiple purposes, but when we don't live into that, we're actually denying the world of the light you're meant to bring it. And that to me is such a shame. So that's the clarity we try to bring.

Meghan Houle (42:10.766)

Well, yeah, so good. Well, and what have you learned about yourself in this process of pivoting? Because just like that message, there is that moment where you're like, this is not it, and here you are today. But what is your message for others that maybe have been corporat Tiffany and just got yelled at? And what should they do? And really, what advice would you give for someone that is looking to pivot to their purpose?

Tiffany (42:28.686)

Yeah. Yeah.

Tiffany (42:37.538)

Well, my thing that I always tell myself, and I say this every morning as I'm using my Soul Stir in my Spirit and Soul Cup, I say, live in a realm of infinite possibilities and probabilities. And when I remind myself of that, it is a reminder that I am limitless and that the only thing that limits me is me. So that is a reminder that I like to go through every day. So the person that is on the struggle bus right now, the person that's

living that life in corporate America or wherever you are right now and you're looking around and you're saying, the hell did I get here? And I'm not happy with these certain parts of my life. I am telling you that you are limitless. You have put these limits on yourself, nobody else, not one other person. Don't look to blame anybody else. When you blame, you give your power away. You made choices. They led you here. Now make different choices.

Meghan Houle (43:38.0)

snap, snap, snaps for that. Woo. So powerful. my God. Thank you so much for that, Gem. And what's next now for Spirit and Soul Studio? How do you envision expanding your work to help even more individuals on their journey? And I know that you have an amazing shop where people can access you virtually in person. And what's next? Tell us all the ways that you're serving your beautiful community. Yes.

Tiffany (44:05.088)

Yeah. So, what is next? I mean, we're just going to continue doing what we're getting on bigger stages, bigger platforms in order to really get this message out. I think it's important. I think you can hear how strongly I feel about people really living into their purpose. It only brings more and more light to this earth. Where the earth can feel a little bit dark and heavy sometimes, you can be the light. So,

Meghan Houle (44:20.6)

huh.

Tiffany (44:33.218)

getting that message out to people and allowing them to just heal. man, Megan, like the stories that I've heard and how much trauma and everybody has a story, everyone. And the traumas don't have to be these big T traumas. You know, they can be these small things and that have really made you who you are today and you don't even realize it. Like those things are holding you back and to see people, like to see it click.

Meghan Houle (44:47.288)

Mm-hmm.

Tiffany (45:00.202)

in their mind and all of a sudden start to make shifts and become a different person, more aligned with who feels good for them, right? Not this weighed down version. It is truly a miracle. So, you know, to continue to do that with Spirit and Soul, with our amazing teachers that we have at Spirit and Soul, it is not just me. I could never do this on my own. This is an amalgamation of

Meghan Houle (45:05.326)

Yeah.

Meghan Houle (45:25.572)

Hmm.

Tiffany (45:29.074)

many, many different people that come together to support you with, they get the vision, right? Like, that's, I'm blessed with a team that holds the vision and they get it and we're all here for you to be able to do that. So I know you're going to be seeing more of us very soon. And what I want to do is offer your listeners a chance to actually to have a free class. So I'm going to give you a code Megan, so you can put it in the show notes.

Meghan Houle (45:52.962)

Yeah. Yeah.

Tiffany (45:54.498)

and everybody can experience it in person and virtual. It was very important for us when I started Spirit and Soul, the actual like in person, I had made sure that the virtual aspects came forward with it so that we can continue to reach people everywhere. So like we have a huge TV and like a really great like video system where we make sure that if you are sitting at home watching us, it's

just as good as if you were in person. So I want all of your listeners to be able to experience that.

Meghan Houle (46:28.516)

That's so generous. And yes, everyone, after listening and clicking out here, go to those show notes and get Tiffany's code. We will lock all of that in. And that is so generous. And beyond that, in that first class and getting someone hooked, how can people work with you, find you? I know you have in-person and are you still doing like private coaching and like who is your target individual? Like tell us all the ways we can work with you. Yeah.

Tiffany (46:54.018)

Yeah. Yeah. So as far as me in particular, I do in-person and virtual spinal energetic sessions. I do coaching. I do a very, very few one-to-one spots. Like I don't really open them very often. I do more group work now, which is absolutely incredible. I just started my Shadow and Soul group coaching.

experience and that is going… So we'll be reopening that probably in another like three months or so, but you definitely want to be on the wait list for that. There's so much magic happening in it. And then so that's me personally. That's how you can work with me. And then we, if you just, you know, want to try out the different classes, you can do that and you can follow us also. We're very active on Instagram at Spirit and Soul Studio. So you can see what we're up to and you can see what our amazing teachers are up to if you need.

Reiki if you need manifesting coaching or you want to develop your intuition. We're just opening our intuition group with Erica, which everyone loves. Like people cannot wait for this. So that's going to be opening very soon. So yeah, we've got so much for you to just explore the magical part of who you are. So you can follow us at Spirit and Soul Studio. You can also follow me. I'm Hey, I'm Tiffany Marie on Instagram.

Meghan Houle (47:54.766)

Hmm, cool.

Tiffany (48:10.556)

And you can also head on over to our website, SpiritandSoulStudio.com.

Meghan Houle (48:15.01)

Yeah. And in there too, you can access the shop and there's other purchasing things that people can buy on their crystal journey and all the other wonderful items that we love to surround ourselves with to get into alignment and create these beautiful rituals. So I am just so obsessed with all you have to offer, how accessible you are. I love group coaching. I love meeting other individuals and community as you know, that builds community. So.

I'm just so excited. You're in my universe now with a connection from our dear friend Chris, shout out to Chris, who is just such a beautiful human as well. thank you. She's the best. Thank you so much for sharing all of this. I feel like we could talk for hours and I still have 7 million questions for you, but I'll save that for like another side panel. But no, I think that thank you for teaching us so much about manifestation.

Tiffany (48:52.888)

She's the best.

Meghan Houle (49:08.19)

and really where the journey needs to start and how to release some things. And I hope that there are many individuals that will get a lot out of this podcast. And please, everyone scroll into the show notes, click that free class, follow Tiffany, check out her shop. yeah, hopefully we'll be seeing you in some way, shape or form in person. I need to lock into some of those retreats. So thank you for being here with us today, Tiffany, and for sharing your beautiful talents. And I'm so proud of your pivot.

Tiffany (49:29.068)

Yes.

Meghan Houle (49:36.644)

I'm so proud of you.

Tiffany (49:38.158)

Thank you so much. And thank you so much for having me, Megan. It was an honor to be here with you and with your audience. So thank you so much for having me.

Meghan Houle (49:45.528)

Thank you. It's my pleasure.
